first sunday in advent

The Advent tradition is strong here. People put up stars or
chandeliers in their windows – beautiful in the evening – and lit a candle in anticipation of Christmas. One candle for every Sunday in Advent. This is the star that hangs in my study window and my first lit candle this year.

I personally love the candle tradition. It just makes everything seem that much more cosy.
