a glass of dandelion

I had no idea before today that there are a few wine yards in Barossa Valley in Australia that are called Dandelion Vineyards, so I was thrilled when I got this bottle of their Shiraz – the Lionheart of the Barossa –  today. Dandelion is not only a catchy label – these wine makers actually encourage the growth of dandelions in the wine yards since they enrich the vines in many ways. I like that and the bottle and – yes – the luscious red wine inside of it.

I fancy Shiraz wines due to their aromatic and full bodied taste and this was no exception for that. I’m no connoisseur, but I’d gladly treat myself and guests with it and if it had been easier to ship wine over the globe I would have created a give away contest with this as a prize. Instead I share some pics of it and my first glass of it. Cheers!

Cheers! What a great discovery for you. Nothing better than a nice glass of vin rouge this time of year.

Very cool! I love the label. We have a small hotel here in Georgia called the Dandelion Inn. I think of you everytime I see it. Great close-up shot of that label.
