Christmas Tree

Taken after Christmas Eve Midnight Mass when the church was almost empty again – it was actually crowded during mass. This church originates from the beginning of the 12th century and the altar was crafted in Antwerpen in the beginning of the 16th century. I thought of all people who have been there, seated, listening to the service, singing hymns, prayed…during its history.  Sometime history comes very close and gets under the skin.
