I took these photos when I stopped by Brahehus Castle on my way south earlier this month. It was built in the middle of the 17th century and is beautifully located. I had almost forgot about them when I remembered them a couple of days ago making my latest post. A beautiful place with a fantastic view.
The view is striking. Here facing west over an old, solid rock.
Facing north. You see – in the far away distance – how steep the cliffs surrounding the Lake Vättern are.
More stone, water and sky facing north-west.
Peaceful overlook over a farm and the island Visingsö which was the place where the kings of Sweden lived during the 12th and 13th centuries.
Facing south. I could have spent all day here, mesmerized by the fantastic view.
Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Thank you! :) It was even better live.
