candy is dandy – now updated with giveaway winners

WINNER UPDATE!

I’ve now got three winners (randomized by non-technical, but random randomizing) and it seems like the candy-fairy likes the ones with names ending on “ie” – a strange coincidence!

– Julie (Peaceble Writer) wins the big bag and Carrie & Stephanie wins the smaller candy bags. Contact me via the contact form and I’ll ship asap. Unfortunately the Icelandic volcano messes up international (and also national here in Scandinavia) shipping, but I hope they’ll reach you quite soon.

A big thanks to all that contributed – all kind words got me embarrassed and happy!

Time flies and the lady dandelion blog turns six months tomorrow April 16.  This must be celebrated and what could be better than celebrating with a give away, the first guest blog post, and a review of J Herbin’s 1670 Encre Anniversaire? The J Herbin 1670 ink review and the guest blog post will be published tomorrow Saturday, and on Sunday, but the give away contest starts right now!

I first thought I’d give away something more serious like a pen or ink, but I felt for something more childish and partylike and what could be better than giving away candies?  So, I’m giving away three literal goodie bags – one bigger and two smaller – with assorted Swedish candies and chocolate to three randomly chosen participants. The candies above is only for the picture – the give away candies comes in unopened containers. :)

The only thing you need to do (there is always a bug) to participate in the give away is to comment on this post before 11 pm Sunday April 18 – GMT (which is CET 24.00/00.00 and 6 pm EST) by sharing your view on these questions:

1. Which  post/s on lady dandelion have you enjoyed the most?

2. What would you like to see more of on the lady dandelion blog?

You don’t have to write lengthy – a few words is enough.

The winners will be announced sometime during Monday April 19. Winners must contact me within 48 hours after the announcement – otherwise I’ll draw a new winner.

I also want to thank each one of you that read my blog – it means a lot to know that the circle of readers are steadily growing and that you seem to enjoy  my blog – please feel free to contact me with feedback!

wishing you all a pleasant weekend~dandelion

How could I possibly miss a chance to win some candies? Some have already pointed out the good things with this blog, like the the variety. The photos of the Woodland Cemetery are among my favorites.

  2. PC says:

Aaah, Why don’t I proof-read before I hit the submit-button? It should be “found” NOT hound. Sorry.

  3. PC says:

    Congrats on your anniversary.

I have just recently started to use Internet on my newly rediscovered hobby: pens and paper, after following other interests for some years now, but I feel at last “I’m back”.

I have hound much pleasure in your writings, and my favourite is your MB146 post earlier this year. For the future: Please keep it blog just as it is!

    Regards from Norway,
    PC

I like the variety of the content that goes well beyond pens, inks, and paper. Where else will one find a blog about cardamon, just a few days after a blog on the effect of the spring light in Sweden? More photos from the Swedish landscape will be welcome by those of us who live in very different lands.

  5. Stephanie says:

Congrats on six months! You’ve gotten quite popular/successful blogging in just a short while. :) I really love your general photography posts as well as pen/ink posts, and I hope you post more pictures in the future! I’m really enjoying seeing them on Flickr lately too.

  6. Fred says:

Trying some Swedish sweets would be great! Your photos are great – keep up the good work!

  7. Ruth says:

Congrats to the half year of blogging! I like the mix & your photos. More recipes would be nice. It would also be fun to try new candy and chocolate!

  8. TAO says:

I can’t eat the candy but I wanted to congratulate you on the 6 months of blogging!

  9. Karin says:

Congratulations on six months of blogging!

    1. I really like your ink reviews – you have great handwriting. I also love your photos of scenery because it’s so interesting to see places in countries I might not ever get to visit.
    2. More scenery, especially with the beautiful Yard-O-Led pens posed there. That would be lovely.

  10. V.R. Leavitt says:

Those gummies look scrumptious! Thanks so much for your kind words about “Dandelions.” Can’t wait to explore your blog further. Congrats on 6 months!! Wonderful!

  11. Carrie says:

One thing, I don’t like the scary avatar that’s been assigned to my last comment. Is it meant to look like an exposed brain!

  12. Carrie says:

You make mention of chocolate and I’m guaranteed to put in an appearance.
    1. I think you’re a very talented photographer, so always enjoy seeing you showcase various pens. I’m probably going to surprise people, my favourite hasn’t been a Conway Stewart, but your stunning Yard-o-leds.
    2. Keep up the pen reviews and wonderful photos.

  13. Congrats on a great first 6 months!! I love the photography – all of it!

  14. Helen says:

Has it really only been six months? Your blog is really well established for that amount of time, well done!

    To answer your questions:
    1. I like your ink reviews – you have similar ink tastes to me, so your views are really helpful, and your pen photography is fantastic.

    2. More pen photography, please, especially outdoor shots, they’re really original. Giveaways, especially of fun stuff like candy, are always appreciated, too!

  15. Julie says:

Your photos are always a delight. And I would like you to leave me your CS “toffee” to me in your will. You do have one, don’t you? :) I want you to post what moves you not what we “want.” But I guess that was a “want.” Oh dear. You’re great.

  16. Rosie M says:

I really appreciate your blog, but I miss the weather vanes – it is too long since the last weather vane. My favourite post is any of the posts featuring dragon weather vanes. I’d love to see more weather vanes in the future.

  17. Mitch says:

I like the sweet suduction of this post.

All the best with the next six months.

  18. Speedmaster says:

Well-done! You have one of my fav. blogs. ;-)
