sleeping garden

There is something very peaceful about being in a garden in the autumn and winter. Like watching someone who is  fast asleep. Relaxing and relieving. Nothing to be done; just let the sleep and rest do its job.

A sort of modern wind vane.  It was quite windy and cool, so it was a bit hard to capture – it was spinning rather constantly. A cup of coffee in the cool air out doors. Cold cheeks, hands freezing – and in a very good mood. The clouds were moving fast, so the light changed dramatically during the short hour I was there. Quite dramatic contrasts.
