gratitude

Thanksgiving is one of the most sympathetic holidays there is. Remembrance of what there is to be grateful for is rather important – even – or maybe in particular – during life’s more bleak patches. I think it is a pity that it hasn’t been spread over the world as other North American holidays. Maybe it is becauase it isn’t – beside the food – a big, commercial holiday. I’ve decided to import a little bit of the Thanksgiving and think a little extra of absent friends as I lit the candles in the dark November evening. Happy Thanksgiving!

    Being thankful is how you reverse the narrowing of focus on one’s life. It would be good if we could be thankful everyday.
