lilacs in three colours

Lilac lilacs – not totally unexpectedly the most common colour…but the various shades of lilac they come in aren’t possible to count. This might be the most common one here – pale, soft and delicate.

White Lilacs are – despite their contradictory name – very stylish – more austere and strict than the lilac lilacs (don’t I love writing that) and very elegant. Smells good too.

This pink lilac grows under my kitchen window. Despite living a few stairs from the ground the scent of these small, diminutive (even more tiny flowers than regular purple ones) sneaks into the kitchen. Divine in the evenings.
