I was on my first road trip in the US. I drove over 2000 miles and the trip fueled my urge to understand more of the huge, crazy and amazing country that is the United States of America. This is one of the many photos I took and might seem a bit too ordinary to publish, but when I browsed through my photos I realized that this is a good example of how often I remember the circumstances and story surrounding even the more trivial photos I take. In particular I often remember what mood I was in when I took a photo/series of photos and how amazing it can be to relive a forgotten moment by seeing even a trivial photo. This was taken along the long and winding road that led me to Appomattox exactly one year ago. I stopped to remove something from the trunk and took a few shots of the road. An enjoyable drive even if Appomattox was about to close when I arrived. Seeing this simple shot makes me smile and think about that long, fun drive.
